THE FOUR ACES: DAVE MAHONEY, LOU SILVESTRI, AL ALBERTS and SOD VACCARO. Vintage Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Doll/Dave Mahoney", "Lou Silvestri", "Al Alberts" and "Sod Vaccaro". B/w, 5x6¾ overall, image 4½x6 (one surface). Captioned at lower margin. Information on forming a Four Aces Fan Club and a complete list of recordings by the group imprinted on verso. Formed in 1949, the Four Aces were signed by Decca in 1951 after they released their first single, "(It's No) Sin" on the Victoria label created by Alberts. Their debut single for the Decca, "Tell Me Why", sold a million copies. Their renditions of two movie themes, "Three Coins in the Fountain" (1954) and "Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing" (1955), each hit number one on the charts. The group disbanded in 1959. Lightly creased at blank corners and margins, which are lightly soiled. Minor surface creases and soiling. Overall, fine condition.
