Captioned: "Sadly, a devoted mother realizes that she must send her boy to a reformatory - the only place where he will not starve". The Four Days of Naples premiered in the United States on March 19, 1963. It was based on the four-day revolution against Nazi occupation of Italy during WWII. On September 27, 1943, violence broke out against German soldiers in Naples, Italy. The four days of violence led up to the liberation of the city by Allied forces on October 1. Germany was unable to mount a defense against the Allies, making the city much easier to take. The film stars Raffaele Barbato, Charles Belmont, Silvana Buzzanca, and Regina Bianchi. It was nominated for two Oscar awards. Lightly bowed and toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
