LARRY GATLIN (GATLIN BROTHERS BAND)
Publicity photo for Columbia records, showing him in a wicker
chair
Inscribed Photograph signed: "For Henry/Best Wishes/Larry Gatlin".
B/w, 8x10. Larry Gatlin (b. 1948) was the first of the Gatlins to
make the jump to professional music, moving to Nashville in the early 1970s. The
rest is history from his 1976 Grammy for Best Country Song ("Broken
Lady") to the brothers' induction into the Grand Ole Opry in 1976. 1977's
High Time (Larry Gatlin with Brothers and Friends) featured the No. 1 hit
"I Just Wish You Were Someone I Love". In 1991, the Brothers launched an epic
farewell tour, then retired from music. Larry Gatlin later appeared in the
Broadway musical The Will Rogers Follies. Since 2010, Larry Gatlin has
been a political and social commentator on Fox News. Corners creased. Signature
light and faded but legible. Otherwise, fine condition.
