Color, 8x10. Singer/songwriter and actress Jane Wiedlin, born Jane Marie
Genevieve Wiedlin in 1958, is best known as a guitarist and vocalist for the
popular all-girl band, the Go-Go's. The group, which began as The Misfits,
released its first album, Beauty and the Beat, in 1981 and would
have hit singles with "We Got the Beat", "Our Lips Are Sealed",
"Vacation" and "Head Over Heels". The first member to leave the Go-Go's for a
solo career, Wiedlin has released several albums, including
Fur (1988) and Kissproof World (2001), having her greatest success
with such songs as "Blue Kiss", "Rush Hour" and "World on Fire". Wiedlin
also organized a brief reunion of the Go-Go's in 1990 and reunited
with the group in 1994. A Star Trek fan, she appeared in the 1986
film, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, as well as several other
features, including Clue (1985), Sleeping Beauty (1987),
Bob & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) and Angels! (2000).
Wiedlin has also guest starred on several TV shows and lent her voice to several
animated films and TV series. Slightly creased at upper left corner and edge.
Minor surface scratches and smudges (not evident head on), light stain (barely
visible) at upper blank edge. Fine condition.
