Her father John Huston was a prominent film director (Key Largo, 1948; The Maltese Falcon, 1941), and her grandfather Walter Huston was a prolific actor throughout the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. Since her credited film debut in 1969, she has done quote well for herself, earning several Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations. She became the first third-generation Academy Award winner in history when she won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Prizzi's Honor (1985).
