reached stardom on the Broadway stage, co-starring with Edward G. Robinson in Middle of
the Night (1955-1957). She earned Oscar nominations for two films directed by her
husband, the late John Cassavetes: A Woman Under the Influence (1974) and Gloria
(1980). In addition to her film work, Rowlands has earned considerable acclaim for her
television roles. In 1985, she earned an Emmy nomination for the AIDS drama An Early
Frost, and Rowlands has won Emmy Awards for The Betty Ford Story (1987) and Face of a
Stranger (1991).José Ferrer (1912-1992) won the 1950 Academy Award for Best Actor
for reprising his 1947 Tony Award winning title role in Cyrano de Bergerac. He had
previously been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar as the Dauphin in Joan of Arc
(1948) and would be nominated again for Best Actor in 1952 for his portrayal of painter
Toulouse-Lautrec in Moulin Rouge. Lightly creased. Lightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
