Photograph signed: "Norman", "David", "Dennis [drawn smiley face]" and "Tony". B/w, 8x10. The Houghton Weavers, formed in 1975, are an English folk band, known for singing in Lancashire dialect. Originally formed with David Littler (guitar/banjo/piano accordion), Tony Berry (lead vocals), Dennis Littler (bass guitar) and Norman Prince (12 string guitar, vocals), The Houghton Weavers had a successful range of hits, including "The Blackpool Belle" "Uncle Joe's Mintballs" and "Matchstalk Men and Matchstalk Cats and Dogs." They are most remembered for their 70s BBC TV show Sit Thi Deawn ("have a seat" in Lancashire dialect) which ran for 7 seasons. They also had their own radio show. Currently, the band continues to tour with Tony Berry, David Littler and new comer Steve Millington. Fine condition.
