Show bill signed: "Durward/Kirby", "Miss/Anita/Stewart", "Tom Lignon", in blue ink, 32 pages, 6x9 affixed to a 9x12 sheet. Showbill for a production of The Impossible Years at the Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, North Carolina, 1966. DURWARD KIRBY(1912-2000) was a capable singer, dancer and comedian, but he is best remembered as an announcer, commercial spokesman and sidekick. He worked with Garry Moore on radio, moving with him to television. From 1961-1966 he worked with Allen Funt on Candid Camera. The husband of dialect coach K.C. Ligon, TOM LIGON (b. 1945) is an actor appearing on stage and in screen roles. His first major role was in Broadway's Have I Got a Girl for You! (1963), and Ligon would appear in three more Broadway plays, with a starring role in 1969's Love is a Time of Day. Ligon's also had a number of recurring roles in television, including Addison in Santa Barbara (1987) and Alvin Yood in Oz (2001). ANITA STEWART, who appeared in this production of The Impossible Years, is not to be confused with Anita Stewart (1895-1961). She had passed by the time this program was signed. Showbill; pin holes in top and bottom margin, corners slightly worn, toned, very faint stains across center, Sheet; heavily toned, ink notes (unknown hand) in top right corner, surface creases, corners worn and creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
