Emerging as a teen heart throb on TV's 21 Jump Street (1997), actor JOHNNY DEPP (born in 1963) has gone on to film stardom in a wide variety of roles. His film credits include Platoon (1986), Edward Scissorhands (1990), What's Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993), Benny & Joon (1993), Ed Wood (1994), Donnie Brasco (1997), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003, Best Actor Academy Award nomination), The Libertine (2004), Finding Neverland (2004, Best Actor Oscar nomination) and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005). He has starred as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, beginning in 2006, played the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland (2010), and portrays Tonto in the new version of the classic Western The Lone Ranger (2012). ARMIE HAMMER (b. 1986) is an American actor of film and television, most known for his appearance as The Lone Ranger in the 2013 reboot of the series. His first credited role was as an unnamed Student #2 in the television series Arrested Development (2005), with his first large role being Gabriel Edwards in the series Gossip Girl (2009). He has also appeared as Morgan in the 2009 series Reaper, and most recently has been slated to appear in the thriller 2:22 (2014). HELENA BONHAM CARTER (born on May 26, 1996) is a British film, stage and television actress. She made her professional acting debut in a television commercial at the age of 16. Her breakthrough role as Miss Lucy Honeychurch in the 1985 film A Room with a View and as Lady Jane Grey in Lady Jane (1986) led to her being typecast an actress who played only early 20th century characters. However she proved to be able to play a much larger range of characters in her later films. In the 1999 classic Fight Club she plays the unforgettable Marla Singer and holds her own alongside the acting talents of Edward Norton and Brad Pitt. In 2001 she began a relationship with director Tim Burton and has been featured in several of his films including Big Fish (2003), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) and Alice in Wonderland (2010). Her role as the deranged Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter feature films has frightened and titillated children and adults alike. In the 2010 film The King's Speech she played Queen Elizabeth and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress along with a great number of other awards. GORE VERBINSKI (b. 1964) is a director, screenwriter, and producer, originally working his way from directing music videos and commercials to being slated on top Hollywood films. Toying with film and directing while still a teenager, Verbinski made the transition to a directing career by directing music videos for bands like Bad Religion, Monster Magnet, and 24-7 Spyz, with the director having experience in music from being in a string of small time bands himself. After music videos he worked on several award winning commercials, including the popular "Frog Croaking" Budweiser commercial. His first major film was Mouse Hunt (1997), which was a critical success, and allowed him to direct other hit films, including The Ring (2002), Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Rango (2011), and The Lone Ranger (2013). American actor WILLIAM FICHTNER (b. 1956) got his start performing on stage, performing in two Broadway plays: Alone Together (1984) and The Octette Bridge Club (1985). The career was short lived though, turning instead to television, beginning with minor roles in in a string of daytime television shows. His first major blockbuster role was in the film Armageddon as Colonel Willie Sharp, and Fichtner would go in to appear in several other major films, including Passion of Mind (2000), Crash (2004), and most recently, The Lone Ranger (2013) as Butch Cavendish.
