LOS ANGELES DODGERS (1960)
Baseball signed by Koufax, Drysdale, Hodges, Wills, Alston and twenty others!
Official National League Baseball, Warren Giles, President, signed in the sweet-spot by
manager "Walt Alston" and coach "Pete Reiser", and by these others: "Don Drysdale", "Sandy
Koufax", "Gil Hodges", "Frank Howard", "Maury Wills", "Johnny Podres", "Jim Gilliam", "John
Roseboro", "Norm Larker", "Larry Sherry", "Norm Sherry", "Roger Craig", "Stan Williams",
"Charlie Neal", "Don Demeter", "Dany McDevitt", "Joe Pignatano", "Chuck Essegian", "Greg
Mulleavy", "Ed Palmquist" and "Bob Lillis". There are 2 unidentified signatures, for a total of
25. While the 1960 Dodgers finished a disappointing 82-72, nearly all of these players
were on the thrilling 1959 Dodgers who beat the Braves in a 3-game playoff season and
then whipped the Chicago White Sox in the World Series. Many of these players were
among the last to wear Brooklyn Dodger uniforms (1957) before the move to the West
Coast and thus span two great eras in Dodger history. Alston and his pitching aces, Drysdale
and Koufax, are in baseball's Hall of Fame. Others, including Hodges, Wills, Howard and
Reiser, were among the most exciting players of their era! Lightly soiled. Signatures extremely
faded. Most are legible up-close, approx. five on one panel are barley visible, only can be seen
moving in front of light.
