LOS ANGELES DODGERS (1961)
Spalding Official National League baseball (Giles) signed by Hall of Famers Alston, Koufax, Durocher and Snider along with 16 teammates from the 1961 Los Angeles Dodgers.
Baseball signed: by manager "Walt Alston" and coach "Pete Reiser", and by these others: "Frank Howard", "Doug Camilli", "Larry Sherry", "John Roseboro", "Norm Larker", "Gil Hodges", "Charley Smith", "Leo Durocher", "Wally Moon", "Sandy Koufax", "Bob Aspromonte", "Al Walker", "Clay Bryant", "Rick Warren", "Billy Hunter", "Gordie Windhorn" "Nelson Chittum" and "Duke Snider". Spalding Official National League baseball, Warren Giles, President. The 1961 Los Angeles Dodgers finished their season at 89-65 for a second place in the National League. A large amount of these players were on the thrilling 1959 Dodgers who beat the Braves in a 3-game playoff season and then whipped the Chicago White Sox in the World Series. Several of these players were among the last to wear Brooklyn Dodger uniforms (1957) before the move to the West Coast and thus span two great eras in Dodger history. Alston and his pitching ace, Sandy Koufax, as well as Snider and Durocher are in baseball's Hall of Fame. Others, including Hodges, Moon, Howard and Reiser, were among the most exciting players of their era. Lightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition. Accompanied by PSA/DNA LOA.
