THE LOVED ONE MOVIE CAST CO-SIGNED BY: ROBERT MORSE and JONATHON WINTERS
The two actors are shown in a scene from the 1965 film The Loved One.
Photograph signed: "Robert Morse/[Smiley Face]" and "Jonathan Winters", B/w 10x8. In the film Morse plays the main character, Dennis Barlow, and Winters plays Henry Glenworthy. ROBERT MORSE (b. 1931) made his film debut in 1956's Proud and the Profane. He was more successful on Broadway, co-starring in the musicals Say Darling and Take Me Along. In Frank Loesser's 1961 Pulitzer Prize-winning How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Morse entered Broadway Valhalla when he sang the show's big hit, "I Believe in You" (which he sang to himself, gazing into the mirror). He won a Tony award for his performance, and reprised the role for the film version. He went on to star in another long-running Broadway effort, Sugar. In 1990, Morse returned to Broadway (and won another Tony in the bargain) for his one-man Truman Capote show, Tru. Comedian and actor JONATHON WINTERS, born Jonathan Harshman Winters, Jr. in Dayton, Ohio in 1925, began his career on television on CBS' daytime The Garry Moore Show, where he introduced such imperishable characters as freewheeling senior citizen Maudie Frickett and doltish Elwood P. Suggins. During the 1964-1965 season, Winters starred in a group of well-received specials, and was also a frequent guest on The Tonight Show, The Jack Paar Program and The Andy Williams Show. Winters, who hosted his own programs, The Jonathan Winters Show (1967-1969) and The Wacky World of Jonathan Winters (1972-1974), is also well known to television audiences for his role as Mearth from the Earth (1981-1982), the son of the title characters of the sitcom, Mork & Mindy. Winters, who made his film debut in the all-star It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), has co-starred films including The Russians are Coming, the Russians are Coming (1966), The Shadow (1994), The Flintstones (1994) and The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle (2000).
