THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. TV CAST: DAVID McCALLUM and ROBERT VAUGHN A still from the popular spy series, signed by its two main characters Photograph Signed: "Robert/ Vaughn", "David McCallum" both in black felt tip. Color, 8x10. Scottish-born actor DAVID MCCALLUM (b. 1933) was in such films as Billy Budd (1962), The Great Escape (1963) and The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965), and he has appeared in many made-for-TV movies and series. From 1964 to 1968 he co-starred (with Robert Vaughn) in the NBC series The Man from U.N.C.L.E., as secret agent Illya Kuryakin. Since 2003, after many intervening guest stints, he began starring in the ensemble cast of the CBS series N.C.I.S. (as medical examiner Donald "Ducky" Mallard). In an early episode, one team member asked another, "What did Ducky look like as a young man?" The response: "He looked like Illya Kuryakin." McCallum's first marriage was to actress Jill Ireland (1957-1967). ROBERT VAUGHN (1932-2016) received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for The Young Philadelphians (1959) and was one of the leads in The Magnificent Seven the following year (1960). However, his most famous screen role was that of Napoleon Solo in the TV spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964-1968). In subsequent years, Vaughn was often cast as a bad guy in films such as Bullitt (1968), Brass Target (1978), and Superman III (1982). Corners and edges slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
