Shown in character as Sue Ann Nivens and Lou Grant in this black and white photograph.
Photograph signed: "Love-/Betty White" and "The Best of/Love & Life/Ed Asner" in black felt tip, B/w 8x10. The Mary Tyler Moore Show ran from 1970 to 1977, on the show Betty White played Sue Ann Nivens and Ed Asner played Lou Grant. Ed Asner (b. 1929) is perhaps best known as the TV news editor on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977). When Moore ceased production in 1977, Asner took his Lou Grant character into an hour-long dramatic weekly about a Los Angeles newspaper. The show titled Lou Grant ran from 1977 to1982. Asner has literally hundreds of television credits (1961-2010) and voice credits for animation and video games that include The Simpsons, X-Men Legends, Max Steel, and Superman: The Animated Series. His more recent TV credits include: CIS: NY (2009), 6 episodes of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006-2007), 27 episodes of Thunder Alley (1994-1995), 5 episodes of Batman (1992-1994), and 16 episodes of Captain Planet and the Planeteers (1990-1992). Television and film actress Betty White (born in 1922) is perhaps best known for her Emmy Award-winning role as grief counselor Rose Nylund, which she played on four different TV sitcoms: The Golden Girls (1985-1992), Golden Palace (1992-1993), Nurses (1991; guest appearance) and Empty Nest (1989, 1991, 1992; guest appearances). White was also a regular on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973-1977), playing Sue Ann Nivens, a regular panelist on Password (1961-1975), on which she met her husband, host Allen Ludden, and had three shows of her own: The Betty White Show (1957-1958, formerly Date With the Angels, and 1977) and The Pet Set (1971). The popular actress has appeared in several feature films, a number of TV movies and a long list of TV series and game shows, most recently Malcolm in the Middle, My Wife and Kids, Everwood, The Practice and The Wayne Brady Show (all 2004). She also appeared several times on What's My Line?, both as a panelist and a mystery guest, and was a regular guest on The Tonight Show with Jack Paar (1959-1962). Fine condition.
