Baseball signed by 1976 Mets and manager Joe Frazier. This was Frazier's only full year as a major league manager.
Baseball signed "Joe Frazier" in the sweet-spot, "Ed Yost", "Jon Matlock", "Tom Seaver", "Mike Vail", "John Milner", Dave Kingman, "Joe Torre", "Felix Millan", "Jay Kleven", "Jack Heidemann", "Ken Sanders", Del Unser", "Mike Phillips", "Joe Pignatano", "Leon Brown", "Skip Lockwood", "Bob Myrick", "Jerry Koosman", "Wayne Garrett", "Bob Apodaca", "Bruce Boisclair", "Bud Harrelson", "Ed Kranepool", "Roy Staiger" and "Mickey Lolich", plus one unidentified signature. 2 ½ inch diameter. Spalding official National League ball with Charles S. Feeney facsimile signature. This baseball is signed by most of the Mets' starting lineup in 1976 and by manager Joe Frazier, as well as a few non-Mets including Eddie Yost, 1952 All-Star with the Washington Senators. 1976 was Frazier's first, and only, full year managing a major league team. The Mets ended 86-76 that year and in third place in the National League. This team also included Joe Torre, who replaced Frazier as manager in the middle of the 1977 season and went on to manage the Mets until 1981. Later, in 1996, he'd become manager of the Mets' older cousins, the Yankees, and would lead them to four World Series. Lightly toned. Slight stain just above Pignatano's signature, touching signature. Otherwise in fine condition.
