Baseball Signed: "Clete Boyer" on the sweet spot, and "John Blanchard", "Chris Chambliss" and "Moose Skowron". Official Rawlings American League ball, Bobby Brown, President. CLETE BOYER (1937-2007) ranked as a top American League defensive third baseman during his eight years with the Yankees (1959-1966). Boyer, who batted .318 against the Giants in the 1962 World Series, holds the World Series record for most career assists by a third baseman (66). JOHNNY BLANCHARD (1933-2009) played for the Yankees in 1955, 1959-1964 and part of the 1965 season. The third-string catcher holds the record of ten World Series pinch-hitting appearances. CHRIS CHAMBLISS (b. 1948) was a first baseman for the Yankees from 1974-1980. A career highlight came in 1976, when his home run to right field in the ninth inning gave the Yanks the AL championship over the Kansas City Royals. BILL "MOOSE" SKOWRON (1930-2012), who played for the Yankees from 1954-1962, batted over .300 in his first four seasons. In 1956, his grand slam in Game 7 captured the World Series title for the Yanks. Fine condition.
