THE PERFECT FURLOUGH MOVIE CAST: TONY CURTIS, KEENAN WYNN and LINDA CRISTAL
Black and white publicity photograph for the 1958 comedy, showing Curtis wearing his characters army uniform and standing in between Wynn and Cristal.

Photograph signed: "Hello!/Linda Cristal", "A pleasure/Tony Curtis" and "Keenan Wynn/1983", B/w 8x10. In this 1958 comedy directed by Blake Edwards, Tony Curtis, a soldier at an Arctic base, wins a 3-week furlough in Paris with his favorite pin-up, played by Linda Cristal. Keenan Wynn played the role of Harvey Franklin. Noticed first for his good looks, Tony Curtis (1925-2010) showed real acting talent in such films as The Defiant Ones (1958, for which he received an Oscar nomination), Some Like It Hot (1959) and - cast against type - in The Boston Strangler (1968). Typecast by virtue of her accent and her exotic Latino features, Argentinine actress Linda Cristal (1931-2020) could usually be found in westerns. Her most notable films include Comanche (1956), The Fiend Who Walked the West (1958), The Alamo (1960) and Two Rode Together (1961). From 1967 through 1971, Cristal played Victoria Cannon on the TV western The High Chaparral. Part of a multi-generation acting family that included his father, comedian Ed Wynn, Keenan Wynn (1916-1986) had an acting career that spanned 52 years, with 168 roles in movies and numerous appearances on television. His best-known role was that of Colonel "Bat" Guano in the Cold War satire, Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964), but Wynn also provided supporting performances in Between Two Women (1944), Easy to Wed (1946), Royal Wedding (1951), Kiss Me Kate (1953), The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit (1956) and Finian's Rainbow (1968). He also appeared in the Disney flicks Herbie Rides Again (1974) and The Shaggy D.A. (1976), as well as on Dallas (1978-1980). Paper affixed on verso. Corners lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
