THE PERFECT FURLOUGH MOVIE CAST: TONY CURTIS, JANET LEIGH and LINDA CRISTAL
Signed photograph of the cast of the 1958 film The Perfect Furlough cheerfully posed
Photograph signed: "Tony Curtis", "My love -/Janet Leigh", "Linda Crystal". B/w, 10x8. In this 1958 comedy directed by Blake Edwards, Tony Curtis, a soldier at an Arctic base, wins a 3-week furlough in Paris with his favorite pin-up, played by Linda Cristal. Janet Leigh, then married to Curtis in real life, played an army psychologist assigned to chaperone the pair. Noticed first for his good looks, TONY CURTIS (1925-2010) showed real acting talent in such films as The Defiant Ones (1958, for which he received an Oscar nomination), Some Like It Hot (1959) and - cast against type - in The Boston Strangler (1968). JANET LEIGH (1927-2004) was one of Hollywood's biggest stars from the late 1940s into the 1960s. Best remembered as the Oscar-nominated murder victim in the shower in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), she also starred in such films as Little Women (1949), Scaramouche (1952), My Sister Eileen (1955), Touch of Evil (1958), The Manchurian Candidate (1962) and Harper (1966). Curtis and Leigh, married from 1951 to 1962, were the parents of Kelly and Jamie Lee Curtis. Typecast because of her accent and her Latin features, Argentine actress LINDA CRISTAL (b. 1934) could usually be found in westerns. Her most notable films include Comanche (1956), The Fiend Who Walked the West (1958), The Alamo (1960) and Two Rode Together (1961). From 1967 through 1971, Cristal played Victoria Cannon on the TV western The High Chaparral. Surface creases (seen head on). Lightly toned around edges. Otherwise, fine condition.
