1970 PITTSBURGH PIRATES Various members of the team signed this official National League baseball Baseball Signed: "Stargell", "Richie Hebner", "Bob Robertson", "Bruce Kison", "Bob Moose", "Manny Sanguillen", "Milt May", "Al Oliver", "Gene Alley", "Gene Clines" and "John Lamb". 18 signatures in all, 7 of which remain unidentified. Official Spalding National League Baseball, Charles S. Feeney, President. The 1970 season marked a big move for the Pittsburgh Pirates; they said goodbye to their longtime home of Forbes Field (1909-1970) and relocated to the multi-purpose Three Rivers Stadium (1970-2000). The Pirates also took home their first NL East title that year, finishing 5 games ahead of the Chicago Cubs with 89 wins and 73 losses. Despite their strong regular season performance, they were swept by the Cincinnati Reds' Big Red Machine in the NLCS. Staining on sweet spot. Lightly toned. Worn throughout along stitches.
