Pittsburgh mini-helmet by Riddell, signed by the Steel Curtain in
gold ink, with Greene signing his name "Joe Green" and Greenwood signing his
name with his jersey number "68". Comes in original box.
Football helmet signed "Dwight White", "Joe Greene", "Ernie
Holmes" and "Greenwood/68", all in gold ink. 5¾x3¾x4¾.
Purple-with-orange-stripe Pittsburgh Steelers mini-helmet from Riddell, signed
on right side. The famed "Steel Curtain", the front four defensive line of
the 1970s Steelers, was the backbone of the Steelers' dynasty, contributing to
victories in Super Bowls IX, X, XIII and XIV. Defensive tackle (1968-1981)
and Hall of Famer "MEAN" JOE GREENE (b.1948) was 1969 Defensive
Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year in 1972 and 1974 and
a member of the NFL's 1970s All-Decade Team. Defensive end (1969-1981)
L.C. GREENWOOD (1948-2013), who was known for wearing gold-colored shoes
on the field, was also a member of the NFL's 1970 All-Decade Team, and he
played in six Pro Bowls (1973-1976, 1978-1979). ERNIE HOLMES
(1948-2008), who won two Super Bowl rings while a member of the Steel
Curtain, played defensive tackle for the Steelers from 1972-1977, while
DWIGHT WHITE (1949-2008) was the team's defensive end from 1971-1980.
Nicknamed "Mad Dog", White played in two Pro Bowls (1973, 1974).
