Show Bill signed: "Stubby Kaye" and "Rita Moreno", 26 pages, 5½x9. Playbill for a production of The Ritz at the Longacre Theatre (New York). The show opened on January 20, 1975 at the Longacre Theatre and ran for 400 performances until closing on January 4, 1976. Musical comedy actor STUBBY KAYE (1918-1997) is perhaps best known for his role as Nicely-Nicely Johnson in the 1950 Broadway hit, Guys and Dolls (a role he later reprised in the 1955 film version). Following his soaring popularity with Guys and Dolls, Kaye scored another Broadway-to-Hollywood triumph as Marryin' Sam in both the stage and screen versions of Li'l Abner (1959). He also appeared in such feature films as Sex and the Single Girl (1964), Cat Ballou (1965), Sweet Charity (1969) and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988, his last film role), and in was in a number of made-for-television movies (The Big Knife, 1988, was his last TV appearance). Musical actress RITA MORENO (b. 1931) spent the first 15 years of her film career (beginning when she was 14) playing small parts. Then in 1961, she won an Academy Award for West Side Story. Moreno has since appeared in such films as Marlowe (1969), Carnal Knowledge (1971) and The Four Seasons (1981). On television, she starred in the sitcom 9 to 5 (1982-1983) and was a regular on the PBS children's show The Electric Company, as well as winning an Emmy in 1977 for her appearance on The Muppet Show, followed by another for The Rockford Files (1978).
