This script is for the pilot episode of the runaway hit HBO series The Sopranos, written and directed by series creator David Chase. Everyone on this script, with the exception of Schirripa and Castelluccio, were featured in this episode. They share amongst them seven Emmy wins and three Golden Globe wins.
Script signed "Tony/Sirico", "Kathrine Narducci", "Dominic Chianese", "Federico Castelluccio", "James/Gandolfini", "Edie Falco", "Michael/Imperioli", "Steve Schirripa", "Steven Van Zandt" and "Lorraine Braco". 65 pages, 8¼x10¾x¼, single-sided sheets, photocopied, bound with brass fasteners. Sixth and "salmon" on white paper, dated Aug. 25, 1997. This script was written by and directed by series creator David Chase. This episode, the series pilot aired on Jan. 10, 1999 and introduced viewers to such memorable characters as mobster and family man Tony Soprano, James Gandolfini (1961-2013), his long-suffering wife Carmela, Edie Falco (b.1963) and Tony's therapist and psychological sparring partner Dr. Jennifer Melfi, Lorraine Bracco (b.1954). All of the signers on this script, except for Schirripa (b.1957) and Castelluccio (b.1964), were featured in the pilot episode. They share amongst them seven Emmy wins (3 each for Gandolfini and Falco and 1 for Imperioli) and three Golden Globe wins (1 for Gandolfini and 2 for Falco) for their work on The Sopranos, as well as 14 Emmy nominations and 12 Golden Globe nominations. The multi-Emmy Award-, multi-Golden Globe-winning HBO series about a New Jersey crime family headed by Tony Soprano, who has his hands full managing both his "families", had its seventh and final season in 2006-2007. New Jersey locations featured on The Sopranos have become tourist attractions. Lightly toned and creased. Random ink stains. Light dents in top left corner and bottom edge. One fastener is missing.
