Baseball signed by the 1965 St. Louis Cardinals, including manager and Hall of Famer Red Schoendienst, Hall of Famer and Cy Young Award winners Bob Gibson and Steve Carlton and 1964 National League MVP Ken Boyer. This was Schoendienst's first year managing the Cardinals; he led them to a World Series Championship in 1967.

The Cardinals had a rough year in 1965, finishing seventh in the National League, but they were a team brimming with talent and promise. It was the first year managing the Cards for future Hall of Famer RED SCHOENDIENST, and in a few short years he led them to the 1967 championship and the 1968 National League Pennant. Signers also include BOB GIBSON (Hall of Fame, two-time Cy Young Award winner and 1968 NL MVP), STEVE CARLTON (Hall of Fame and four-time Cy Young Award winner) and RED BOYER (All-Star and 1694 NL MVP) and All-Stars CURT FLOOD, TITO FRANCONA, BOB PURKEY and JULIAN JAVIER.
