LOUIS CARDINALS: 1971 Baseball signed by 23 team members Official National League "Feeney" Baseball signed:"Frank Linzy", "Bob Reynolds", "Jose Cruz", "Red Schoendienst", "Barney Schultz", "Jim Beauchamp", "Chris Zachary", "Joe Torre", "Don Shaw", "Jerry McNertney", "Vern Benson", "Bob Burda", "Ted Sizemore", "Chuck Taylor", "Reg Cleveland", "Moe Drabowsky", "Geo Kissell", "Steve Carlton", "Jul Javier", "Joe Hague", "Bob Gibson", "Jerry Reuss" and "Lou Brock". The 1971 St. Louis Cardinals finished second in the National League Eastern Division. CARLTON, GIBSON, REUSS, CLEVELAND, GIBSON and ZACHARY were starting pitchers. DRABOWSKY, SHAW, LINZY, REYNOLDS and TAYLOR were also in the St. Louis bullpen. McNERTNEY was a catcher. HAGUE, BEAUCHAMP and BURDA covered first base, SIZEMORE covered second base and TORRE was at third base. BROCK played outfield, as did CRUZ. JAVIER was in the infield.
