Kenneth Branagh (b. 1960) is perhaps best known for producing,
directing and starring in a long series of Shakespeare histories, comedies and
tragedies, and especially for his Henry V (1989) and Hamlet
(1996). Among his other noteworthy films have been Dead Again (1992),
Shackleton (2002), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2005)
and Valkyrie (2008). He has been married to actresses Emma Thompson
(1989-1995) and Lindsay Brunnock (since 2003), appearing in films with each.
Since 2008 he has played the title role in the British TV film series based
on Swedish police chief Wallander. HELENA BONHAM CARTER (b. 1966) is
a British film, stage and television actress. She made her professional acting
debut in a television commercial at the age of 16. Her breakthrough role as Miss
Lucy Honeychurch in the 1985 film A Room with a View and as
Lady Jane Grey in Lady Jane (1986) led to her being typecast an actress
who played only early 20th century characters. However she proved to be able to
play a much larger range of characters in her later films. In the 1999
classic Fight Club she plays the unforgettable Marla Singer and holds her
own alongside the acting talents of Edward Norton and Brad Pitt. In 2001 she
began a relationship with director Tim Burton and has been featured in
several of his films including Big Fish (2003), Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet
Street (2007) and Alice in Wonderland (2010). Her role as the
deranged Bellatrix Lesttrange in the Harry Potter feature films has frightened
and titillated children and adults alike. In the 2010 film The King's
Speech she played Queen Elizabeth and was nominated for an Academy Award for
Best Supporting Actress along with a great number of other awards. Fine
condition.
