Photograph signed: "Love,/Valerie/3°", "Love,/Cindy/3°", "Love,/Valerie/3°", in red felt tip, B/w 10x8. This photograph, depicting Helen Scott Leggins, Valerie Christie and Cynthia Garrison appeared on the group's 1978 album, New Dimensions. LEGGINS, who left the group in 1966, returned ten years later. CHRISTIE has been a member of The Three Degrees, which is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest running female trio, since the early 1960s. CYNTHIA GARRISON replaced former member Sheila Ferguson in 1990. The Three Degrees, who signed with CBS in 1970, had a #1 hit with "When Will I See You Again?". The favorite group of Prince Charles, they performed at his 30th birthday party and were invited to the wedding of Charles and Diana. They also appeared in The French Connection (1974, as themselves) and, since they can sing in five languages, have toured worldwide. Their recordings include New Dimensions (1978) and 3D (1979) and the CDs Women in Love (1992) and The Best of Three Degrees (1996), both of which contain songs from the original albums, which are not available on CDs.
