Inscribed photograph "Lt Col Roger Riggs", "Capt John Robinson", "Capt Tom Weiler #6", "Maj Dave Commons", "Capt Lance Undhjem #9" and "Maj Buzz Masters". Also signed "David" in large calligraphic script in upper left corner. Color, 9¾x7¾ on 10¼x8½ cardstock. The Thunderbirds are shown flying in formation in F-16 Fighting Falcon jets, which they've used since 1983 (some of their jets are the oldest operational F-16s in the United States Air Force). The signers are all members of the Thunderbirds Alumni Association - that is, former members of the Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds were formed at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona as the 3600th Air Demonstration Unit on May 23, 1953. In 1956, the Thunderbirds, who represent the U.S. Air Force at air shows and other events, moved to their current home base at Nellis Air Force Base. Top edge of photo is scuffed. Line has been lightly scratched in photo for calligraphy. Otherwise in fine condition.
