Program inscribed and signed on the cover: "To Howard/John/Entwistle" and inside on a group picture: "To Howard/Best wishes/Pete/Townshend", "John/Entwistle" and "cheers/Roger Daltry", 28p, 12x12. Color and b/w. Noted in ink on back cover (unknown hand) to have been from their performance at the Oakdale Theatre in the Summer of 1968. Picturing Keith Moon but not signed by him. Unlike most rock bands, the Who based their rhythm on TOWNSHEND's guitar, letting MOON on drums and ENTWISTLE on bass improvise wildly over his foundation while DALTREY belted out his vocals. Formed in 1964, they disbanded in 1983. Townshend is regarded as one of the finest British songwriters of his era. His songs, including "The Kids Are Alright" and "My Generation", became teenage anthems, and his rock opera Tommy (in which Daltry starred) earned him respect from mainstream music critics. Cover lightly creased. Fine condition.
