PETER TOWNSHEND

several reunion tours thereafter, The Who was one of the premier rock groups
of the "British invasion." British guitarist Townshend, born in 1945,
was also a fine songwriter, whose hits included The Kids Are
Alright and My Generation. He did most of the writing for The
Who's "rock opera" Tommy (1973). When Tommy appeared on
Broadway 20 years later, it earned Townshend both a Tony and a Grammy.
Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Signature has low contrast in places but
is legible. Errors in negative were reproduced in photo. Light scratches and
paper clip impression on image (not visible head-on). Otherwise in fine
condition.
