Tommy Tune, Keith Carradine and Larry Gatlin signed the cover of this Playbill.
Show Bill signed: "Tommy Tune", "Keith Carradine", "Larry Gatlin", 58 pages, 5½x8½. Playbill for a production of The Will Rogers Follies at New York's Palace Theatre, signed on the front cover. The Will Rogers Follies, inspired by the words of the legendary Oklahoma humorist, ran for 989 performances on Broadway (May 1991-September 1993), with music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolf Green, and choreography by Tommy Tune. Keith Carradine originated the title role, which was assumed by Mac Davis in May 1992 and by Larry Gatlin in February 1993. Multitalented dancer, singer, actor, choreographer and director THOMAS JAMES "Tommy" TUNE (b. 1939) has been awarded nine Tony Awards: Best Supporting or Featured Actor (Musical) for Seesaw (1974); Best Choreographer (with Thommie Walsh) for A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine (1980); Best Director (Musical) for Nine (1982); Best Actor (Musical) and Best Choreographer (also with Walsh) for My One and Only (1983); Best Director (Musical) and Best Choreographer for Grand Hotel, the Musical (1990); and, Best Director (Musical) and Best Choreographer for The Will Rogers Follies (1991). He was also nominated for Tonys five additional times, and Tune has been the recipient of eight Drama Desk Awards and two Obie Awards (among numerous other honors) and he was inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame in 1991. Tune, who is six-feet, six-and-a-half inches tall, is one of the tallest dancers on Broadway, but drama critic John Simon praised Tune as being "as long on talent as on legs". In addition to appearing on Broadway, Tune has toured extensively, including a stint in his one-man show, Tommy Tune Tonight!, and he has appeared in two feature films, Hello, Dolly! (1969) and The Boy Friend (1971). Tune, who also starred in the Las Vegas extravaganza EFX (1999), published his autobiography, Footnotes, in 1997. KEITH CARRADINE (b. 1949) is a multi-faceted entertainer, with acting credits on stage, film and TV, not to mention an Academy Award for his song I'm Easy from Nashville (1975), as well as a shared Grammy nomination for Nashville's soundtrack. Carradine, who often plays a villain, got a chance to stretch as the folksy, wisecracking title character in the original Broadway production of The Will Rogers Follies (1991-1993, 981 performances), a performance that earned him a Tony nomination for Best Oscar in a Musical. He's from the Carradine acting family, which includes father John and Brother David. LARRY GATLIN (b. 1948) was the first of the Gatlins to make the jump to professional music, moving to Nashville in the early 1970s. The rest is history from his 1976 Grammy for Best Country Song ("Broken Lady") to the brothers' induction into the Grand Ole Opry in 1976. 1977's High Time (Larry Gatlin with Brothers and Friends) featured the No. 1 hit "I Just Wish You Were Someone I Love". In 1991, the Brothers launched an epic farewell tour, then retired from music. The Will Rogers Follies is so far his only Broadway appearance. Since 2010, Larry Gatlin has been a political and social commentator on Fox News. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
