This envelope is signed by ten Justices appointed by seven U.S. Presidents. REHNQUIST was appointed Associate Justice by President Nixon in 1972 and Chief Justice by President Reagan in 1986, serving until his death in 2005. In 1999, he presided over President Clinton's impeachment trial. MARSHALL, appointed by PresidentJohnson in 1967, was the first Black American on the Supreme Court. He retired in 1991, two years before his death. O'CONNOR, appointed by PresidentReagan in 1981, was the first woman on the Supreme Court. She retired fom thr Court in 2006. BRENNAN, appointed by Eisenhower, served from 1956-1990 and was succeeded by SOUTER, who was appointed by Bush in 1990. WHITE, appointed byKennedy, served from 1962-1993. Blackmun, appointed by Nixon, served from 1970-1994. POWELL, appointed byNixon, served from 1972-1987 and was succeeded by KENNEDY, appointed by Bush, in 1988. STEVENS was appointed byFord in 1975. Associate Justices Stevens, Kennedy and Souter are current members of the Supreme Court. Fine condition.
