THE (YOUNG) RASCALS: EDDIE BRIGATI, FELIX CAVALIERE, GENE CORNISH, DINO DANELLI
First six lines to the Rascals' 1966 hit Good Lovin', signed by all four members of the band: Eddie Brigati, Felix Cavaliere, Gene Cornish and Dino Danelli
Autograph lyrics signed "Felix Cavaliere", "Dino Danelli", "Eddie Brigati" and "Gene Cornish", all in blue ink. 1 page, 8½x11, on Rascals stationery, cardstock. Titled at bottom: "- Good Lovin - -." First six lines of the Rascals' chart-topping 1966 single. Good Lovin was the first no. 1 hit single from the Rascals, as well as their first Top 10 hit. The Rascals had a total of seven Top 10 hits between 1966 and 1968, including Groovin' (1967) and People Got to Be Free (1968) which, like Good Lovin, sailed to the top of Billboard's Pop Singles charts. The Rascals, called The Young Rascals for three years because of objections from another group, scored their first #1 hit, Good Lovin, in 1966. Although Good Lovin' was a cover, the Rascals followed with a string of original hits, including How Can I Be Sure, Beautiful Morning and People Got to Be Free. The group consisted of EDDIE BRIGATI as lead vocalist, FELIX CAVALIERE on drums and vocals, GENE CORNISH on guitar and DINO DANELLI on drums. The Rascals' style of soul-influenced rock was imitated by many other white bands. Lightly creased. Random ink stains. Otherwise in fine condition.
