THE RASCALS: EDDIE BRIGATI and DINO DANIELLI
5x3 arcade card photo of the "blue eyed soul" group signed by the lead vocalist and drummer
Photograph signed: "Eddie/Brigati", "Dino/Danielli". B/w, 5¼x3¼ arcade card. The Rascals, called The Young Rascals for three years because of objections from another group, scored their first #1 hit, "Good Lovin," in 1965. Although "Good Lovin'" was a cover, the Rascals followed with a string of original hits, including "How Can I Be Sure," "Beautiful Morning" and "People Got to Be Free." EDDIE BRIGATI shared songwriting and lead vocal duties with keyboardist Felix Cavaliere , while DINO DANIELLI played drums. (The fourth original member was guitarist Gene Cornish. Cavaliere and Cornish are shown in the picture, but did not sign.) The Rascals' style of soul-influenced rock was imitated by many other white bands. Brigati left the Rascals in 1970, while Danielli continued until the group broke up in 1972. Lightly worn at edges and corners. Otherwise, fine condition.
