THE YOUNG RASCALS
The cover for their self-titled debut album signed by all four original members, with the record included inside
Record cover signed: "Eddie/Brigati", "Gene Cornish", "Felix/Cavaliere", "Dino/Danelli", 12½x12½. Record present inside cover. The Rascals, called The Young Rascals for three years because of objections from another group, scored their first #1 hit, "Good Lovin'," in 1965. Although "Good Lovin'" was a cover, the Rascals followed with a string of original hits, including "How Can I Be Sure," "Beautiful Morning" and "People Got to Be Free." The group consisted of EDDIE BRIGATI (b. 1946) as lead vocalist, FELIX CAVALIERE (b. 1944) on drums and vocals, GENE CORNISH (b. 1944) on guitar, and DINO DANELLI (b. 1944) on drums. The Rascals' style of soul-influenced rock was imitated by many other white bands. Search and Nearness (1970) was the last recording to feature all four of these original group members. Corners heavily worn and creased. Some sections of cover image faded. Light surface scratches. Eddie's signature slightly smeared, but legible. Slight ink transfer. Otherwise, fine condition.
