Usually cast in supporting roles, he has had leading parts as varied as the title role in Cyrano Bergerac (1972) and that of Harry Frazee, the ill-remembered Boston Red Sox owner who sold The Babe (1992) to the Yankees. His many TV credits include series roles in Flamingo Road (1981) and Time Trax (1993) and repeated guest appearances on The X-Files. PAXTON WHITEHEAD (1937-2023), whostarred as Sherlock Holmes, was born in England in 1937. After stage performances in England and Canada, he made his Broadway debut in The Affair (1962), and he can be heard on the cast recording of Beyond the Fringe (1964). For 10 years (1967-1977) he was Director of Ontario's Shaw Festival, appearing in several of the plays and performing them on recordings. He was nominated for a Tony (1980) in a revival of Camelot. In 2007, he came out of retirement for a cameo appearance on American TV's Desperate Housewives. SUZANNE GROSSMAN (1937-2010) was a writer and actor of stage and screen. She performed in a small number of Broadway plays, including The Lion in Winter (1966), The Show Off (1968), and Private Lives (1969). After a brief break in acting on stage, Grossman returned to Broadway, adapting two books into plays: There's One in Every Marriage (1972) and Chemin de Fer (1973). She also loaned her writing talents to the television series Ryan's Hope (1976), writing for 107 episodes of the series. JACK CRELEY (1926-2004) is an actor of stage and film, appearing in two Broadway plays and 40 plus film and screen titles. Though the actor had a brief stint on the stage, he is far more known for his television work, beginning with an appearance in Goodyear Playhousein 1952. He would appear in minor roles in a large number of television series, including On Camera (1955), Wojeck (1968), and The Littlest Hobo (1980). In addition to his television work, he also appeared in a number of films, including Videodrome (1983) and Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964).
