American author Thomas Beer (1889-1940) wrote 130 short stories for
The Saturday Evening Post, many of which were published in two
collections. He wrote 3 novels, a cultural history of the 1890s (The Mauve
Decade, 1926), and biographies of Mark Hanna and Stephen Crane. William
Faulkner and F. Scott Fitzgerald cited Beer as an influence. Creased and lightly
toned. Edges lightly frayed. Minor ink smears (legible). Otherwise, fine
condition.
