Autograph Sentiment signed: "Yours ty/T. De Witt Talmage/June 24, 1873", 6½x3. paper. The Dutch Reformed clergyman preached in Brooklyn (1869-1894) and Washington, D.C. (1894-1899). Known as a brilliant preacher, Talmage edited the "Christian Herald" from 1890-1902. His sermons were published in 3,000 newspapers. Talmage (1832-1902) was also a signer of the Blackstone Memorial (1891) urging President Benjamin Harrison to convene an international conference to establish a Jewish homeland in Palestine.1 vertical fold crease.
