American author Thomas E. Gaddis (1908-1984) wrote biographies, often
focused on the lives of prisoners. His best known work was Birdman of
Alcatraz (1955), basis for the 1962 film. Gaddis, who was an educator,
prison consultant and psychologist as well as a writer, also co-authored
Killer: A Journal of Murder, the story of convicted Oregon serial
killer, Carl Panzram. Fine condition.
