Newspaper photograph signed: "Thomas/Gradin" in blue ink. 7¼x10. Thomas Gradin (b. 1956) is a retired NHL player, playing for 9 seasons with the Vancouver Canucks (1978-1986) and the Boston Bruins (1986-1987). One of the top players in the Canuck's franchise history, Gradin was also the first European to play in the club's history. In addition to his NHL career, Gradin also had a successful international career, playing for his native Sweden and leading the Swedish team to the finals in the 1984 Canada Cup. He was made Head of European Scouting for the Canucks in 1998 and then Associated Head Scout in 2007. In September 2013, Gradin was appointed Honorary Consul at the Swedish Consulate in Vancouver.
