"Sorry. Have no smaller work to combine with L'ANDRIENNE." Wilder, a native of Madison,
Wisconsin, lived in Hamden, Connecticut for most of his adult life and died there in 1975.
Wilder was the winner of three Pulitzer Prizes: for Fiction for his novel, The Bridge at
San Luis Rey (1927; Pulitzer, 1928), and for Drama for his plays Our Town (1938) and
The Skin of Our Teeth (1942; Pulitzer Prize, 1943). In 1955, Wilder revised his 1939 play,
Merchant of Yonkers, as The Matchmaker. The Matchmaker later became the musical, Hello,
Dolly! Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
