Printed art signed: "T Ravenscroft", in gold ink, Color 8x10. Thurl Ravenscroft (b. 1914) provided vocal accompaniment for artists as diverse as Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley and Arlo Guthrie on radio, TV and recordings. As part of a group called the Mellomen, in great demand for commercials, he sang for 28 different beer companies. In 1952, Ravenscroft formed a lasting connection with Kelloggs Corn Flakes as the voice of Tony the Tiger. In 1966, he sang "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" for a TV Christmas special version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and subsequently provided a voice for several Dr. Seuss projects. Ravenscroft was much involved with religious music, singing solo on The Hour of Power while recording a collection of hymns and his reading of the Book of Psalms. Corners and edges slightly worn. Very small tear on upper right edge. Fine condition.
