are Woods, holding the Gene Sarazen Cup that he was awarded for winning the
American Express Championship in Ireland in 2002, Darren Clarke, the winner of
the 2003 NEC Invitational, and Shigeki Maruyama and Toshimitsu Izawa, who won
the World Cup for Japan in Mexico in December 2002. Copiously illustrated.

blank margin. TIGER WOODS won this tournament by two strokes over Tim
Herron, Stuard Appleby and Vijay Singh with a 274. The win was Woods' 52nd
victory in the World Golf Championships and his seventh victory in 13 starts
since the World Gold Championships began in 1999. At the time of this
tournament, Woods, who had previously won the American Express Championship
in 1999 and 2002, had won eight major PGA titles: the 1997, 2001 and 2002
Masters, the 1999 and 2000 PGA Championships, the 2000 and 2002 U.S. Open and
the 2000 British Open. He had also racked up an impressive 24 additional PGA
Tour titles and six international victories. South African RETIEF GOOSEN,
the holder of 15 international titles and the winner of the 2001 U.S. Open, the
2001 World Cup and the 2002 BellSouth Classic, had the next best finish of these
signers, placing eighth. FRED COUPLES, the winner of the 1992 Masters and
holder of 14 PGA and five international titles at the time of this event, came
in 10th. JIM FURYK, the winner of the 2003 U.S. Open and holder of eight
other PGA titles and one international title, came in 12th. BRAD FAXON,
the holder of seven PGA titles and one international title, was 17th, JERRY
KELLY, the holder of two PGA tour titles, was 21st, JAY HAAS, the
winner of nine PGA tournaments and one international title, was 55th, LEN
MATTIACE , the winner of two PGA titles, was 58th, RICH BEEM, the
2002 PGA Champ and holder of two other PGA titles, was 63rd and CHRIS
DiMARCO, the holder of three PGA titles, finished 71st in the field of 72.
