actor Tim Allen (born in 1953), who is pictured here with a screwdriver in his
hand, is best known to television audiences as Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor, on
the popular sitcom, Home Improvement (1991-1999), for which he won
a Golden Globe in 1993 and was nominated for another Golden Globe in
1995. The following year, Allen would develop his own line of signature power
tools. Allen, who began his career as a stand-up comedian, has also
starred in a number of films, including The Santa Clause (1994) and its
sequel, The Santa Clause 2 (2002), Galaxy Quest (1999) and
Big Trouble (2002), and he voiced Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story
(1995) and Toy Story 2 (1999). Allen also has his own racing team.
