year of this photograph, New Zealand-born singer/songwriter Tim Finn released
his third solo album, the self-titled Tim Finn. Born Brian Timothy
Finn, the musician had found his first success down under with the band Split
Enz. In 1983, he released his first solo album, Escapade,
which was followed by Big Canoe in 1986. Before releasing Tim
Finn, he wrote the soundtrack for the British film, Les Patterson
Saves the World (1987). In 1991, Finn joined the band Crowded House,
appearing on and touring for their Woodface album. Two years later, he
released Before & After, which was followed by the solo albums Say
It Is So (2000) and Feeding the Gods (2001). In addition to appearing
as a solo act, he has also appeared with his brother, Neil, as the Finn
Brothers, and Tim has also ventured into acting, appearing in The
Coca-Cola Kid (1985) and Woman in the Moon (1988) as well as
writing songs and scores for other feature films. Minor surface creases
(not evident head on), 1 at nose. Lightly soiled at lower blank margin. Ink
notes (unknown hand) on verso (no show through). Fine
condition.
