Carbon Typed Document Signed: "Tim Holt" in ink, 1p, 8½x11. Los Angeles, California, 1946 January  2. In letter form to Tim Holt, c/o Famous Artists Corporation, Beverly Hills, California. Begins: "Dear Mr. Holt:" In full: "This will confirm the agreement between us as follows: We are herby advancing to you the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), as a personal loan, the receipt of which you hereby acknowledge. You herby agree to repay any portion or all of said amount upon our demand therefor. If the foregoing is in accordance with your understanding of our agreement, kindly so indicate by signing in the space provided below. Very truly yours". Actor Tim Holt (1918-1973), was the son of actor Jack Holt, who appeared with him in another of his memorable roles (as Bob Curtin) in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948). Tim, who had begun his career as a child actor, went on to star in his own series of "B" Westerns, in which he was the "fastest draw" in the movies (Holt could draw his revolver in five frames of film - slightly over one-sixth of a second). His other notable films include Stella Dallas (1937), Stagecoach (1939), Swiss Family Robinson (1940), My Darling Clementine (1946) and This Stuff'll Kill Ya! (1971). Holt was also seen on television in an episode of The Virginian (1969). Lightly creased. Staple hole at upper left corner. Light show through of received stamp on verso. Vertical tear at lower margin. Fine condition.
