TIM HOLT
He signs assent to a calculation of money owed him by RKO Radio Pictures, a share of RKO's profit from loaning Holt to Warner Bros. for  The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.
Documentary Letter signed: "Tim Holt", 2 pages. 8½x11. Los Angeles, California, 1947 August 6. Holt signs off on a profit statement from RKO Pictures relative to its loan-out agreement with Warner Bros. for Holt's appearance in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Calculating its profit as $14,101.98, RKO owes Holt half of that sum, less a $1,000 advance. So a new payment of $6,050.99 accrues to Holt. A more detailed profit statement is attached. Actor Tim Holt (1918-1973) played Humphrey Bogart's mining partner in the justly celebrated film classicThe Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948). (Holt's acting father Jack Holt had an un-credited role in the film too. ) Tim Holt, who had begun his career as a child actor, went on to star in his own series of "B" Westerns, in which he was the "fastest draw" in the movies (Holt could draw his revolver in five frames of film - slightly over one-sixth of a second). His other notable films include Stella Dallas (1937), Stagecoach (1939), Swiss Family Robinson (1940), My Darling Clementine (1946) and This Stuff'll Kill Ya! (1971). Holt was also seen on television in an episode of The Virginian (1969). Lightly creased. Staple holes at top edge. Red pencil mark (unknown hand). Otherwise, fine condition.
