Inscribed photograph signed: "To Eric,/ Best Wishes/ Tim/
Sheehy" in blue ink. B/w, 3½x5. Tim Sheey (b. 1948) is a retired NHL
right winger who played seven seasons for the WHA's New England Whalers
(1972-1975, 1977-1978), the Edmonton Oilers (1974-1977), the
Birmingham Bulls (1976-1978) and the NHL's Detroit Red Wings
(1977-1978) and Hartford Whalers (1979-1980). Sheehy was best known
for his contributions to the US National Team, playing for them in the 1969 and
1971 Ice Hockey World Championships and in the 1972 Olympics in which they
surprisingly won a silver medal. He retired from professional hockey in
1980, and was inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997. Toned. Corners
rounded and slightly worn. Ink notes on verso in unknown hand. Small stains on
verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
