B/w, 3½x5½. Seen often on British television from the 1980s, often in
children's programs like Teletubbies (1997-2001), Timothy Whitnall (b.
1961) has now emerged as a critically praised playwright and screenwriter.
His stage play, The Sociable Plover (2005), was made into a 2009 film,
securing Whitnall Writers Guild of Great Britain nomination for Best First
Feature Length Screenplay. His Morecambe (2009), won a Fringe First Award
at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival, toured the UK in 2010, and won a Laurence
Olivier Award for Best Entertainment. In 2013, he won the BAFTA TV Award for
Best Possible Taste: the Kenny Everett Story. Corners and edges
