TITANIC MOVIE CAST: LEONARDO DiCAPRIO and KATE WINSLET
Jack and Rose in the Famous scene on the front of the Titanic
Photograph signed: "Leonardo DiCaprio" and "Kate/Winslet." B/w, 10x8. Jack and Rose are depicted on the deck of the Titanic. No film in motion picture history has won more Academy Awards or made more money at the box office than 1997's Titanic. After youthful TV roles in Santa Barbara and Growing Pains, Leonardo DiCaprio earned a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his portrayal as a retarded youth in What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993). He became a big name star soon thereafter in films like William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet (1996), The Man In the Iron Mask (1998) and especially Titanic (1997), the largest grossing movie of all time. Recent releases include Catch Me If You Can (2002), Gangs of New York (2003), The Aviator (2004), The Departed (2006), Shutter Island (2010) and Inception (2010). Possessing a voluptuous, old-fashioned beauty that lends itself to costume dramas, British-born actress Kate Winslet has also been hailed for proudly standing in stark contrast to her more emaciated colleagues, proving that unconventional beauty and Hollywood success can indeed go hand in hand. She rocketed to major stardom when she played the romantic lead opposite Leonardo Di Caprio in the mega-blockbuster Titanic (1997). Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance, Winslet became the youngest actress to garner her second Oscar nomination (she had previously been nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Sense and Sensibility in 1995). Since that time, Winslet has been nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for Iris (2001) and the Best Actress Oscar for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004). In 2004, she also received critical acclaim for her performance in Finding Neverland. She won the 81st Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in The Reader. Fine condition.
