TOM BARRASSO
The NHL goalie signs his name on this 8x11 magazine photograph
Magazine photograph signed: "Tom/Barrasso" in purple ink. 8x11. Tom Barrasso (b. 1965) is a retired NHL player, playing for 18 seasons with the Buffalo Sabres (1983-1989), Pittsburgh Penguins (1988-2000), Ottawa Senators (1999-2000), Carolina Hurricanes (2001-2002), Toronto Maple Leafs (2001-2002), and the St. Louis Blues (2002-2003). One of the most sought after goal-tending prospects, Barrasso was signed into the NHL directly after high school, resulting in him being the youngest goaltender to play and win a game in the NHL. Barrasso would continue to set more records in the following years, becoming the first American goalie to record 300 NHL wins. In 2002, Barrasso won silver at the Winter Olympics, and retired from the NHL a year later. On the day of his retirement, Barrasso signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins pro forma, so he could formally retire as a Penguin. Corners rounded and creased. Three holes punched in right edge. Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
